Back in 2018, the Tallahassee-Leon County Office of Economic Vitality (OEV) launched the Love Your Local campaign. The idea is simple: encourage folks around Tallahassee and Leon County to support small businesses by shopping local, and shine a light on the thousands of unique businesses that make our community special.
 
Here at OEV, we see firsthand how much our local businesses thrive on the community’s support and love. Small businesses aren’t just shops or restaurants; they help keep our region’s unique culture alive, giving Tallahassee its charm and appeal. They’re more than businesses; they’re part of what makes our community vibrant.
 
Did you know that for every dollar you spend at a local shop, 67 cents stays right here in the community? So, every time you choose a local, independent business over a chain, you’re helping keep more money in local wages, local suppliers, and local livelihoods.
